Hi, my name is Yolanda and I’m a writer.
I live in Sydney, Australia and I’m addicted to writing in a variety of genres. I pretty much do the same with reading. Why limit myself to the one genre when there are so many different and exciting subjects to read and write about?
Though I have to admit, there’s one thing that keeps appearing in my stories: the paranormal.
I can’t seem to write anything without some paranormal–even if it’s a miniscule thing–thread popping up. It keeps happening. Which I personally think is a great thing, but that’s just because I love all things paranormal and am totally fascinated by the supernatural.
For example, my latest release is a SciFi Romance featuring a shape-shifting hero. It’s set in a dangerous world filled with sexy men, shady characters, space travel, tough women, and a lot of supernatural creatures.
Personally, I love it when different genres are all mixed together. It makes the story exciting and interesting. It also never fails to hook me in…
What about you? Do you like your genres to mix?
I’d like to thank Ren for having me over. And also, thank you for reading!
-Oh you’re very welcome, my dear
Here’s a sneak peek into Wither, Book 1 of the Recast Series:
Betrayal. Lust. Secrets. It’s enough to send a space cowboy riding hell-bent for stardust.
Wrangling is in Colt Marshall’s blood. He was known across the galaxy for his skill at roping horses and cattle, but found that the woman he loved wasn’t so easy to tie down. Now a mysterious client has him wrangling a man who may or may not be fully human. Colt doesn’t know and doesn’t care, as long as he gets paid. Until his pursuit of the escaped captive lands him on his former lover’s planet…and her request for help threatens to crack the armor around his heart.
With Colt’s unexpected arrival, Brynn Wright’s problems could be solved…or multiplied a thousandfold. She doesn’t expect him to understand why she left him, but she sure could use his help ridding her planet of the feral creatures terrorizing her town every night. It doesn’t help that he looks just as good as she remembers. Or that even after five years, their mutual lust is very much alive.
Their desire rivals the heat of the planet’s skin-peeling sun, stripping away layers of secrets to expose the truth. And a secret that could be their death sentence…
“You might as well stop hiding. There’s nowhere left to go.” Colt lifted the pistol in his hand, confident enough to know the man could run, but definitely couldn’t hide.
Not for long, anyway.
He kept the familiar weapon close to his chest, ready to point and shoot. Every muscle in his body tightened as he rounded the corner and stepped onto the metal bridge connecting the corridor to the maintenance side of the ship.
His booted feet vibrated as the bridge shook beneath them. In spite of not having anywhere to go, his latest captive was attempting to make a run for it.
Colt couldn’t help but chuckle, a deep rumble low in his throat that spread along his body. A rush of adrenaline reminded him why he enjoyed this job so much, and he relaxed a little. The need to play hide-and-seek had been absent for much too long. All his captures were getting a little too easy.
This is my ship. Ain’t no one gonna get away from me on my own damn ship.
A strike came out of nowhere, hitting him in the shoulder. Colt stumbled backward, against the metal railing. Pain shot through the small of his back and he had to clutch the handrail tight to keep from toppling over.

Book 2 of the Recast series, Clash, is available on January 24, 2012
Here’s a sneak peek
When revenge, secrets and lust collide, there can only be chaos.
Jenks Maine is dead, but the devastating effects forcing Recast to fight in the arena goes on. Half-Recast Ace Abu is determined to put a stop to it. All he needs is to get to the planet Fray, locate the concealed Clash Arena, and destroy it. But first he has to cross half the galaxy before the sound and smell of his partners’ nonstop lovemaking drives him mad.
By the time he parks himself on a barstool in the town of Grit, he’s more than ready for a few beers. Except the sexy singer on stage is only making him—and his inner beast—burn hotter.
Ely’Shea longs for the freedom Jenks stole from her. She’s his right-hand woman, but when the boss is away she steps out of her enforcer role and ducks into a remote bar to indulge her passion: singing onstage. The night she catches a glimpse of an alluring cowboy in the audience, he ignites a spark inside her she never thought she’d feel again.
Unable to resist temptation, they’re consumed by passion…but once the fuses are set, their deepest personal secrets could blow any chance of forever all to hell.
“I don’t think he’s listening to a word you’re saying,” Brynn said, sitting beside him.
“I think you’re right.”
Ace turned to face them after Colt smacked him on the shoulder hard enough to get his attention. “What do you want? Can’t you see I’m enjoying the entertainment?” He didn’t want to miss a single word. This singer’s voice was amazing, so silky it swept through him, relaxing the beast in a way no one had ever managed before.
Colt turned his eyes to the woman singing onstage but shrugged when he said, “I can see why you’re checking her out, but are you really enjoying this boring song?”
“It’s not boring, it’s…” He let his voice trail off. What was the point?
Ace turned back to the alluring woman. Her eyes were closed as her fingertips caressed the microphone stand in a way that had to be arousing every single man inside this crowded bar. Lush black hair framed her heart-shaped face, complementing her caramel-colored skin. A blue dress hugged her curvaceous body so well it made Ace want to reach out for her. She was stunning, gorgeous—a total turn-on. After fantasizing about his co-accomplice for so many days, he welcomed another female to focus on.
He couldn’t tune out this beauty, mesmerized by her every subtle move. He didn’t want to continue the conversation he’d started with Colt and Brynn before entering this place. All he could do now was watch. When she finally opened her eyes and looked right at him, Ace couldn’t help but grin.
Who was this beauty? He had a compulsion to find out. It itched at his skin until her murmuring voice cut out, and everyone around him exploded in applause and whistles.
He sat back in the uncomfortable wooden chair and inclined his chin, winking at her when she met his gaze. He clapped his hands together, lifting his nose in the air and picking up the sweet aroma of her body. Even with all the other odors around him, he singled out her vanilla scent.
