Ahhh romance….

What would the world be like without it? And romance novels? I, like thousands if not millions of others, have cut my reading teeth on those heart-fluttering, swoon-worthy paperback heroes. In turn, we were either the helpless damsel in distress or the strong-willed tomboy who brought these dashing men to their knees.

From the Historical to SFR (Science-Fiction Romance), from Inspirational to Paranormal, from Westerns to Fantasy, from the Sweet to the Erotica and from Gothic to Contemporary, Romance has been and will always be the reading staple of those who enjoy a quick getaway from the stresses of everyday life.  With the explosion of LGBTQ Romance and Young Adult, the romance genre is continuing to make evolve.

How many men have you seen reading romance? I’ve been seeing it more and more during my daily commute. These gentlemen I applaud for taking those bold steps into a genre that is routinely maligned by those who lack passion in their lives. Oh and with the rise of the ebook, more people are embracing this genre than ever before.

To celebrate the glorious wonder of St. Valentine’s Day, The Bloghop Spot has put together a hop that will boggle the noodle, guaranteed.
